Social Prescribing

Certa Awards qualifications specially designed to enhance Care Navigation and Social Prescribing

Certa Awards is leading the way with supporting NHS England to provide a unique and effective gateway for healthcare professionals - to refer patients to a range of local, non-clinical services to support the development of a Social Prescribing workforce that can improve health outcomes and drive better wellbeing in our communities.

As a progressive socially responsible institution, our leading awarding organisation is providing two high-quality industry recognised qualifications. These qualifications bring together the latest research and knowledge across health, social care and the community sector, to engage and connect people to the right support.

There are many different models for Social Prescribing, but most will involve either a link worker or Navigator who will work with a wide range of people to access local sources of support and groups across the community. Certa Awards qualifications have been specifically designed to fully equip individuals in a Care Navigation and Social Prescribing service role.

At Certa Awards, we fully recognise that health is determined primarily by a range of social, economic and environmental factors. Therefore, by providing a pathway to Care Navigation or Social Prescribing, we are hoping to contribute to a range of positive health and well-being outcomes, addressing people’s needs in a holistic way.
